It will depend on the scope of the project. If it is just a simple basis suppport, it may have two or three, If it involves four modules then minimum four consutlants with a Project manager along with maybe two ABAP consultants. If the size is larger then it increases. It depends solely on the type of billing involved. No company will spend and maintain a team if it cannot make a profit on it. So I would say from the business point of view its the Business billing ultimately which will decide the number of consultants.

it depends on the project and budget.

and depends on weather its implementation or support

mostly in support back office people will be 80% and front office will be 20%

if you take implementation projects it will be 40, 60% or 50-50

its not yet all a problem, but you should emplain your role in the project as a offishore consultant.

hi,

its totally depends not only on the size of the project but also the time to do the implementation.

Obviously if the requirement is to go live in a short duration more people would be required and may be an onsite offshore model would be used. generally from the functional side a person in each of module would be sufficient with some offshore back up. Sometimes more people are deployed on the FI side. However the abapers are always more for the simple reason that they work across all the modules, exception to this can be Abap HR.

Hi Siva.

A mid size project would have alomost 10 - 15 members including project manager, technical and functional consultants. preferabli one each or if there are more one senior and one junior as per requirement.

The implimentaion phase won't require offshore assitance in suchan scenario. how if required can again be same or more number. this would also depend upon the functionality of a perticular module in one company.

Hi,

It is purely depends upon the project size. For a mis zized project the onsite team will be around 8 members altogether and offshore can be of 12 to 16.

this is only a rough estimation.
