hi everybody,
will you help me at main differences at spn ppms and pp/ds ppms.
and create a ppm at snp module-- need step by step info.
thankyou.
Hello,
SNP-PPMs are used by the SNP-Optimizer and CTM, while PP/DS-PPMS are used in the Production Planing/Detailed Scheduling. Therefore, PP/DS-PPMS are usually more detailed. In addition SNP-PPMS consume bucket capacity (of Bucket or Mixed Ressources), while PP/DS-PPMs consume (PP/DS) capacity of normal or Mixed Ressources.
Mixed ressources are named that way since they have a bucket capacity for SNP and a (PP/DS) capacity for PP/DS.
Usually one generates PP/DS-PPMS via CIF form R/3 and converts PP/DS-PPMs from these SNP_PPMs (if needed) via the report:
/SAPAPO/PPM_CONV_PPDS_TO_SNP
You may want to have a look into the online-documentation for details....
