Work process Ended.

Hi,

I have installed ECC 5.0, Win 2003serv, Oracle 9i, on my test server. installation went fine, i have done post installation also.

then next day i started my server, it is showing all the work process status' ENDED'. I found Oracle all processes, sap processes are running. When i run r3trans -d its thrown an error

' no connection possible "connection failed with DBLI_RC_LOAD_LIB_FAILED." r3trans finished (0012).

could anybody help me to solve this.

first check whether the database is up from the command prompt. copy paste the trace file here.

and could you please tell me how can i check whether database is up and running, from command prompt...!!!

login as sidadm, goto command prompt,

sqlplus /nolog (u will get command prompt after this)

conn /as sysdba. (u will login as sysdba)

if logged in try startup with command

startup

to check the status of the database:

select status from v$instance;

it should be open.

if it is open then there is no problem with database.

ur work process are dying, give trace file of wp.

I entered into OS level by SYSDBA. It is connecting.

when entered into BRTOOLS

when i say Instance status it shows - MOUNTED.

Check the status of the database ->

SQL> select status from v$instance;

if it shows mount state, do a

SQL> alter database open;

If the DB not able to open, paste the error message that you see on the screen and also any errors that is recorded in the

Oracle alert log.

Hello Ravi,

Since your database is in mount state it will not accept any connections.So open the database.Connnect to sqlplus and issue the command alter database open;

After database is opened R3trans -d should work.And then you can start your SAP system.
