Error during deployment of SP-14 (AS JAVA)

I get the following error after deploying 20 of 42 AS Java Patches

Connection between SDM client and Service is broken.

I checked the SAP note, but all seem to be ok with the port .no. and username/passwword.

Please suggest.

Many thanks for your replies.

The issue was the J2EE_ADMIN at the ABAP side was in a locked state due to incorrect logins.

Seems somebody tried logging while I was deploying the patches.

how did you check for th eJ2EE_ADMIN password was locked? And what did you did?

Please open the last modified version of SDM\program\log\sdmlog<date>.log, find the exception that corresponds to the error message and paste it here. The error message is standard and it is hard to identify the problem.

If you changed your administrator password recently on the "normal login" (means UME) and you did NOT change it in the configtool at the same time, it's inconsistent and will lead to that error.

I suggest you use configtool to set the admin password again and retry.

Hi Markus,

The password wasn't changed. The error cropped up half through the patch deployment. Infact had deployed about 20 of the 42 patches.
