Ravi,

I think of the Development Configurations perspective as where I go to manage my current DCs - I can grab the latest code by doing a "Create Project" or "sync sources" on any of my DCs - I can check in all my current code in the Open Activities view, etc. So, I go to this perspective if I need to actually do something (sync code, check in code, etc.)

On the other hand, the DTR perspective allows me to take a peek into the repository itself - typically, I'm going in to see an archive of my project, essentially. I can find a certain file and view it in a version graph to see how many different versions there are in the repository and who created each version. So, I go to this perspective I want to see something (how long as this code been around, who was the last person to update it, etc.)

I use the Development Configurations prespective much more often than I use the DTR perspective.

Hi,

1. DC are your development Configurtaion which consits for developement objects. Development objects are nothing but your views and classes which are finally treated as files.

2. DTR is the design time repository that maintains the files (development objects) with their versions when you are working in a team (NWDI).
