Extend External Definition

I've imported an XSD which have given me a number of message types I can use in my scenario. What I would like to do is extend the message type by adding another node. How do I do this? I can't see anywhere in the IR where I can modify the message type - I don't want to amend the XSD and reimport it.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Hi,

What ever the modifications you want to do , that can be done in the XSD file itself and do Re-Import that into IR.

Hi,

You cannot achieve it without manual modification of xsd file ...

Robert,

create a standard data type by importing the XSD (not external def). then create datatype2, where as a 1st node you'll add this datatype1 and can do further modifications there.

You have to do modification in XSD, you can't modify the message type.

If you want to do modification, then better to open the XSD, modified it and re import it.

Also you cannot modify Message type, because Message type reffer Data Type or XSD. So u have to modiy either XSD or DT. But u cannot modify the Message Type.

Thanks
