Problem with metadata - not refreshing

Former Member

Hello All,

We are trying to import an IDoc from a R3 development server to XI development server.

Initially the Idoc had 19 fields, and then we removed the last field. When we re-imported the Idoc, it is refreshing the integration repository but not the metadata...

We also tried to manually refresh the metadata but it is still showing the field...reimport metadata manually via tcode - IDX2

we also tried refreshing cache(tcode - sxi_cache)

If any one is aware or has faced the issue please help...

Cheers,

Tatvagna.

Hi,

Please run the following reports:

IDX_RESET_METADATA if you are on < SP17

or

IDX_CHECK_METADATA if you are on >= SP17

Jakub

Shah,

Delete the metadata from IDX2 and re-import it again.

After all these efforts, my suggestion is to restart the server.

Hi,

Go to Object Tab in ID..Select the business System ( ECC - R3 development server) Edit it and save ..activate it.. then go for SLD cache

Mean time check whether all the Sheduled ( Default Jobs) are up

1. You did not mentioned that you are working on Production System. You should mention it, coz it depends a lot.

2. You tell me how many times you are gona to change the IDOC structure?

Now come to the point, after going through the experts advice given to you, i have suggested one of option keeping in mind that you are working on development system.

Hi,

I am working on a development system. The reason i spoke abt. PRD was because if the issue is occuring in Dev then it should occur in PRD also...

Also when we restarted the Dev system, the error was resolved...but we can't keep on restarting the PRD right ??? i hope u got my point...

I am guessing it is a cache issue...but which one...we've refreshed all...
