brbackup giving the following error

hi everyone,

i am using the brbackup in command line but is not working properly and giving the following error.Please any one help me regarding this issue.

Hi Sridhar,

C:\usr\sap\NW5\DVEBMGS00\exe>brbackup -u -c force -d disk -t online -p initNW.sap

Check whether you have given correct file name it should be init<SID>.sap (eg. initDEV.sap) instead of initNW.sap.

hi Pinkle,

In initNW.sap , the SID is NW. we gave like that only. Instead of this i am using the DBA planning calender i am getting the following errors in Job log

-> job started

->step 001 started (program RSDBAJOB,variant &0000000000000004,user ID SAP*)

->Execute logical command BRBACKUP on host mmsr18

->parameter : -u / -jid ALL__20080111112744 -c force -t online -m all -p initNw.sap -w use_dbv -v D:\BACKUPORA

->SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE failed for BACKUP - Reason:X_error

->job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE

Hi Sridhar,

Can you try from DB13 also try initializing the tape it will work.

Might be your tape is no initialized or its expiration period may not be expired.
