support pack rollback

Hello All,

We have had problems with SP14 regarding web dynpro. We are now trying to get back to SP12 ( the one we were on before we upgraded to SP14). What is the easiest way to roll back a patch?

Hi Vijay,

there is no way to rollback a patch.

The only way is to reinstall from scratch. I'd recommend that you first check whether your problems are not to solve in any other way.

Hi Vijay,

That's one of the reasons why usually all productive system operators wait at least 3-6 months before installing any new SP. Then it is most likely that someone else has gotten a bloody nose and there is a fixed fix for the fixed problem.

Another factor is that it usually takes at least a month for the sysads to try to find their way through the haystack of notes inside the service portal. At least SAP apparently has realized the latter as you know can comment on notes if they are undestandable and have helped in solving the problem.

Well, of course only if you can find them...
