Hello All,
We are on SRM 5.0SP11.
Technical scenario is CLASSIC and business scenario is Sourcing with Bid Invitation.
In our client's business the requirement is ,
In responce to the Bid Invitations raised by the purchaser , the Bidders will submit bids with diff prices for different brands of the same material.
These different brands of the original materials may or may not have material code in the buyer company.
From the winner bid purchaser will select the desired brand , accept the bid and create a classic PO.
1. Has anyone has mapped same or similar scenario in SAP SRM?
If yes kindly give inputs or documents.
2. We are trying to acheive the same via surrogate bidding.
But we want to change the standard item numbering in BI/BID for a specific purpose.
i.e. In standard the item nos in BI/BID would be 1,2,3....
we want to change it to 10,20,30........ in line with ECC
Can any body suggest a way?
I could not find the releavant threads, help or config.

Hi Dinesh,
Reg your 2nd requirement, there was a similar question raised in an earlier thread(see the link below) in which the suggestion was to implement the badi "BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI" which i doubt will work. There are some more pointers which you can look upon.
Also see these related notes (they are for SRM 6.0 but can help for technical analysis of the numbering in SRM and R/3 docs)
Note 1097556 - Item numbering is different for SRM and ERP Purchase Order.
Note 1104884 - Item numbering incorrect during Copy of Purchase Order.

Hi,
We checked with SAP for
pt. no2 - The item numbering change in SRM BI/BID is not recommended by SAP.
For pt. no.1
i.e. our business scenario
We developed a custom report for Bid comparison
The brand information maintained in the BID item text
and compared in the custom report.
Not an attractive solution but sufficing our purpose !
