Repository not updatable

Hi MDM Techies,

I had successfully created a repository. But the server had to be shut down due to some problems.

Now the problem is my repository is showing some greyed out symbol. I read it somewhere that it happens when you need to update the repository due to version upgradations.

I tried to do that but it is giving me some error saying,

WinSock error on send.

Is it a problem on the database side?

Can anyone please help me out with dis.

Thanks,

Minaz.

Hi Minaz,

Just unmount & mount the repository again.

If it doesnt work then check the version of ur Console & Database is same or not.

Thanks,

Hi Alok,

I unmounted the repository. Now when I am trying to mount it again it is giving me error saying Database Command Execution Error. A SQL statement failed to execute.

Any ideas what could be the problem?

HI Minaz,

update the repository option is needed when you upgrade you MDM server and client, when you unarchive your old repository to new version, then it willl ask for the update repository.this option just automatically update your repository schema according to your new MDM version.

when you get the winsock error, just stop the mdm server and then restart it again.

just try with it.

Hope this will help you otherwise please let me know.

Unmount your repository and mount it again.

Login into it and by right clicking Load it, Update your repository.
