Hi,

We are runnning on ECC 6.0 on HP-UX . I have installed the help in the path.

/usr/sap/<SID>/HELPDATA in the OS.

Now when i am trying to configure SR13 to access the installed Help files.

Hostname: sapides

Type: PlainHtmlFile

-

variant: SAP HELP

platform :WN32

Area: IWBHELP

path:????

Language: EN

Default: Yes

Please help me to define the path to access the helpfile from the Unix OS.

The definition is: Directory path in which the content are stored

The following entry is required depending on the help type:

PlainHtmlHttp: Path without host name, displayed in HTML Help Viewer

PlainHtmlFile: Path including host name, displayed in a Standard Web Browser

HtmlHelpFile: Path including Host Name, displayed in a Standard Web Browser

I recommend you change the type to HtmlHelpFile

variant: SAP HELP

platform :WN32

Area: IWBHELP

path: sapides/usr/sap/<SID>/HELPDATA

Language: EN

Default: Yes

You could check the installation guide:

https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/instguides

In the menu, click Other Documentation -> SAP Library -> Installing the SAP Library

Please reward points if helpful.

Hi Tanuj,

Your filesystem : /usr/sap/<SID>/HELPDATA should be accessible on your company's domain. SAP Help is triggered or called by the SAP GUI which works on your machine and not SAP Application Server itself.

so make sure your help resides on either a drive share somewhere on windows, or ensure that /usr/sap/<SID>/HELPDATA is accessible on the windows domain and its contents readable by Windows machines.
