Problem with J2EE engine start

Hi All

In the transaction RZ10, I have set the parameter

Parameter name:

icm/host_name_full

value:

xiserver (this is the fully qualified name)

It requires server start up. So once server was started, the J2EE engine is throwing the following error:

Unable to lookup communication default

http://xiserver:8145/msgserver/text/logon returned empty list of communication parameters.

I would appreciate a help

Hi Kunal,

Did you make an entry in the host file.

Make an entry in the host file with the full name and the ip address.Because it checks the host file.After making an entry in the host file please check whether you are able to ping the system with the fully qualified name.

I have already made the entry in the host file. Infact the J2EE engine was running ok before I made this change. Our fully qualified name is xiserver. Ping is successful.
