BI 7.0 installation

Hi,

Iam going to do only BI 7.0 installation.this is the steps to do in installation.

1)first install ecc 6.0 with ABAP & java

2)after installation go to saint tcode and add the addon:BI CONT 7.03

and other than what I have to do the steps for to install BI 7.0.can u please give me the sugegstions for installation.

Hi,

if you want to use ECC 6.0 as ECC and BI system than you have to configure new client for BI system and make entry for BIW client in instance profile login/system_client ,

BI 7.0 required usage type BI + Portal ( Java system)

you can install ECC 6.0 as ABAP + Java ( BI + Portal) system

or

Install NW04s ABAP + Java ( BI + Portal) system use as BIW 7.0 System

Install ECC 6.0 ABAP System

Hi,

I want to install only bi for practise purpose.I want to go saperp 2005sr1-centralsys installtion.next here what i have to take for further steps.1)as abap or 2)as java 3)BI java.

Hi,

i know that this is for training purpose becoz on production env. it is not adviseable

you have to select usage type 1)as abap , 2)as java 3) ,BI java. and portal

After that i will addon the BI cont 7.03.Is it the right way to approach.

Hi,

once installation is done configure STMS for local domain.

then login into client 000

upgrade your SPAM version.

then using SAINT install addon BI cont 7.03
