Transport control program tp could not be started

Hi,

While importing a request to Quality Server , transport terminates with an error "Transport control program tp could not be started" RFC error.

Function TMS_TP_IMPORT

Message TP_CALL_FAILED

Tp output says "This is tp version 340.16.37 (release 640)

Warning: Parameter DBLIBPATH is no longer used.

Warning: Parameter DBSWPATH is no longer used."

340.16.37.kernel release 640,patch number 193.

RSTPTEST was successful .

Changed auth/rfc_authority_check to value '0' in the profile and restarted.

user id provided in RFC connection is TMSADM and the user is

having "S_RFC" authorization object.

This error started after putting the oracle patchset 9.2.0.8.

SAP version 4.7, Oracle 9.2.0.8, on AIX 5.2

It will be appreciable if any one can help me out in this issue.

Hi,

provide result for

tcode - stms_import -> import queue -> check -> transport tool

also execute RSTPTEST report on QAS,

RFC error indicate problem in RFC connection , check it using SM59

In Check transport tool Tp interface, Transport profile, RFC Destination and tp call completed successfully without any error, Same with RSTPTEST, everythign was successful without any errors in it.

You can also try to update the version of TP.exe or check that the on in use for transport is not corrupt.

Hi,

Background job RDDIMPDP was terminatingbecause of the work process termination.

The issue was solved, it was the problem with Oracle client.. have installed the client for 9.2.0.8 and its working.

Kernel 640 requires Oracle Client 9.2.0.7 or higher and this has to be installed

according to attached SAP Note 886783.
