I need to know about,

What are the role of XI Architect and what is required study to become an XI Architect ?

Hi,

1. You must be able to understand the business requirements 2. propose the system landscape

3. Number of Interfaces required to connect all the

applications 'in the land scape.

4. Finally you must be Master of XI and jack of all other

middlewares and technologies ( xml,soap,wsdl,xslt,java.....).

Hi,

Its not XI architect role it will called as an Integration Architect.

Roles and responsibilites:

1) u should have a good knowledge of business requirement and designing the business landscape. this experience comes after many years.

2) More interaction with client as u need to Understand the requirement from client and design the business landscape for client.

3) Provide the solution by considering the aspect like performance issue,best landscape,which solution to be used like u can design the same requirement with n different ways u need to pick up the best.

4) Understanding of different systems and the way they behave and send data in different format as XI is the integration tool so u need to keep in mind the other system aspects also.

5) U should have the good knowledge of all the other middleware tools like TIBCO,Webmethods and the way they behave and the solution they provide.As an integration Architect u need to justify the advantages and disadv if u r using XI as middleware tool rather than other which are available.

This role require lots of knowledge and experience in all the middleware tools.
