hi MDMers
Can we syndicate newly created data from MDM to downstream systems??
For ex- when we are sending material master data from MDM to SAP via XI IDoc generated is updating the mat master already existing in SAP. But when I m trying to syndicate a new record from MDM which is not in SAP it fails. error message is : "No Mat No Transferred"
Is this scenario possible and how??Please help.
Proper points will be awarded.
Regards-
Ravi

Ravi,
In addition to Micheal, you can write a report on R3 side to update new data in tables of R3 coming from MDM via IDoC.
or say do any application programming with the help of an abapper.

Hi Ravi,
looks like that your SAP system expects a material number for new materials coming from outside the SAP system, but you do not provide any in your IDoc. You can either maintain the new material number in MDM and make sure that it's available in the IDoc, or configure your SAP system in a way that it create the material number automatically. If you do the second solution, you have to update the material number in MDM after the creation in your SAP system.

Hi Ravi,
check the IDoc in the SAP system in transaction WE02. Check if the MATNR is available there, too. Depending on the used segements, it might be necessary that the material number has to be present in different segments, too (and not only in the main segment). Again, transaction WE02 can give you an overview about this, as it should explain in more details, which segment is wrong.
