Issue getting alerts into alert inbox

Former Member

Hi all,

I need to configure an Alert Scenario for XI errors.

I followed these two magnificent articles of our polish friend Michal Krawczyk:

XI: Alerts - Step by step

/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step

/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--troubleshooting-guide

Ok, so i configured all and i received a subscription message at my alert-inbox. Fine.

The profile it's *, so i must receive all of the errors.

Now, if i check sxmb_moni i see a lot of red flags (looks like CCCP )

But at alert inbox the system doesn't reach anyone.

I checked at ALRTCATDEF transaction --> fixed receipient tab and i'am mentioned or not.

What i'am missing?

Thanks to all in advance; regards.

Hi Federico,

Check whether Alert rule is active. Have you given your email address in user details? Are you receiving email alerts?

Hi Pinkle,

I am not receiving e-mail alerts, instead my user has the mail address at su01 profile.

Thanks for your help,

You may like to go through following url. Check whether everything is OK.

Hi

Very helpfull link, I configured all again

*Now define any Integration process where after a Receive step include a Switch step/ fork where we can send alert to required recipient by specifying Alert Category. *

I must configure it at Integration Builder Directory? I can't send it via ccms or any other configuration? I remember this model working without BPM.

To see whether Alert has been triggered or not, Go to RWB -> ALERT INBOX and see any mail came to the Alert Inbox or run transaction SOST in SAP system where you will see the details of all send requests.

--> Here i can see the alerts of suscription to these categories, but not the alerts.

Thanks for your help!

Regards,
