Error while starting ABAP trial version system

Hello Friends,

I am getting the following error while starting thesystem.Please help me in solving the problem. I have seen this problem has happened for many people. Points rewarded for helpfull answers.

error for dev_disp:

The application server is unable to connect to the DB because it does not have the username/password that is stored in the XUSER file. If this is a unix system, then check the home directory for sidadm to see if the .XUSER file (it might be named something like .XUSER.62) is there.

Are you using the sidadm account to start the system?

I am using windows system . so where can i find XUSER file. I am using windows account to start the system.

Are you logging in as the sidadm account or are you logging in as the Administrator?

I am not sure where the XUSER file is on windows systems (others feel free to update this note). Have you tried using search to find it?

i am loging using administrator account. i have tried changing the xuser file using the command.. but still im getting the same error.

You should really be logging in as sidadm since that account has all of the necessary environment settings to startup the system.

Thanks for your help. Actually there is a problem with ABAP Trial version intaller. Earlier installation was incomplete as it did not install all the folders. Now i have reinstalled and its working fine..
