SAP Backup procedure

Hi everyone,

Please tell me how to do , database and profile parameter backup in SAP.

Hi Sridhar,

Database backup is depends on you database software.

For example, If you have oracle then you can use brbackup and brrestore command for backup/restore.

and profile parameter generally stored as a file (eg. SAP profile parameter is stored under /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/)

we are using Oracle ,SQL server and Max DB database servers, Please tell me how backing up is going for all. what about transaction DB13 . How and where to use the brbackup and brrestore commands.

Hi Sridhar,

brbackup and brrestore commands are specific to Oracle database. You can execute this from command prompt or you can schedule through DB13.
