How to create new backup Device?

Hello Gurus,

I want to create new backup device in my SAP system. What is the transaction code and what is the option for the same?

Hi jonny,

I am using external USB drive attached to the server to take backup. Even i am using MS SQL 2005 as RDBMS and Windows 2003 OS.

In this case how should i create a devicd type.

HI,

Configure your init<sid>.sap file inside /oracle/SID/102_64/init<sid>.sap according to your LTO and tape size.

and lots of document avaiable on service.sap.com and help.sap.com just serach in BC-DB-ORA application area.
