Hi all,

Could anyone please answers the following questions

I have link from SAP Library but still these questions are unresolved fro me

1)What is BOM????

2) How to Create an BOM Using The BOM Usage "Universal"???

3)How BOM is Related to Proj Systems ???

as in the notes i have seen its more related to SD n MM

4)Can BOM be created for only finished products or even for Raw materials???

5)What are Pre-Requisites for Creation of BOM????

Hi,

Please fine the details of your query.

1. BOM or Bill of Materials is the list of materials for manufacturing an item. BOM lists various material list with type of materials with quantity required. There are various types of BOM such as material BOM, WBS BOM etc. based on requirment.

2. BOM will be created in transaction CS01 selecting BOM usage 3 which is for universal.

3. Based on BOM Materials will be procured against project. There can be BOM transfer to project in which materials will be assigned to network activity automatically. Alternatively material BOM can be assigned to project for procurement.

4. BOM can be created for all types of materials irresprctive of FERT / HALB / ROH etc.

5. Materials master should be there w.r.t. plant for creating BOM.
