SDCCN : EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager job is not created

Former Member

hi all

I setup Eearly watch Alert in SM

I can check Alert Data in DEV but can`t check Alert Data in QA, PRD

I found reason that

SDCCN in DEV : task name - EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager was done

but SDCCN in QA and PRD : task name - EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager was not created

I excuted SDCCN same way but result is different

I compare DEV system to QA system but RFC Destination (SM_SM4CLNT001_BACK) and RFC user are same.

In QA system, Maintenance Package task is working but EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager task was not created.

Please tell me why

Thanks

Hi Lee,

The entries "EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager" in SDCCN of satellite system are triggered by the SAP Solution Manager.

Please check, whether the EWA sessions are scheduled in the SolMan system for QA and PRD, too.

Goto Operations: Solution Monitoring -> EarlyWatch Alert.

You should see rows for systems DEV, QA and PRD

If QA and PRD are missing, I assume, that you have not yet included those systems to the solution landscape.

Goto Solution Landscape Maintenance and add the systems of roles "Quality System" and "Production System" via context menu.

Choose "Put in Solution", all systems relevant for the solution should have a green background color.

Hi Ruediger ,

We are also facing the same problem ,

All my system are added to the Solution Landscape , but also there is that RED FLAG .

Also can you clear my following quires

1.)What has to be configured exactly in the satellite system in order to get the data in the Solution Manager .

2.) When i go to Settings ->Solution Monitoring -> Early Watch Alert in the T-code solution_manager . What is the Period(Days) column indicates and How can we change the same , also is this has to do anything with the occurance of RED FLAG.

Hi Anthony,

please create a separate thread. The problems you have described are probably different.

hi Ruediger

I aleady check SMSY--> administrator SDCCN in SM.

all SDCCN light is green

and

operations: Solution Monitoring -> EarlyWatch Alert.

I can see rows for systems DEV, QA and PRD

but QA and PRD are red flag not alert message.

red flag means Dates for this session are overdue.

I want know how create EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager in SDCCN.

t-code SDCCN, I create task Service Preparation Check and Maintenance Package in QA and PRD same as DEV

thanks

Hi Lee,

Thanks for your reply.

As you can see the EWA rows in SolMan for QA and PRD, I expect the problem in the systems QA and PRD.

Please proceed in QA and PRD as follow:

- SM59: verify that a "Back" Destination to SolMan system exist and Authorization test can be performed successful

- run SDCCN

- Back Destination needs to be listed under: Goto -> Settings -> Task-specific, Session Data Collection -> RFC Destinations -> Settings

Perform "Test RFC Destinations"

- Maintenance Package should be scheduled and executed daily.

- Check the log of the task

(check for RFC errors, ...)

Execute "Service Preparation Check" and check, whether all relevant software components are installed.

hi, Ruediger

Thanks for your reply too.

I checked destinatioin "BACK" as your direction.

QA and PRD are OK.

I compare DEV to QA background job in SM37

all jobs is same scheduled and finished

Maintenance Package is aleady scheduled and executed daily in all settlite systems and status is green.

Early watch alert is red flag on QA and PRD as ever.

I don`t understand this happening

can I check anything else?

Thanks again

Have you checked the log of the maintenance package task?

Further possible errors:

- Are the EWA scheduled in SolMan for the correct Installation Number, System Number?

If this does not help, I recommend to create a customer message on SV-SMG-OP.

With direct access to your system, an analysis should be much easier.

Hi Ruediger,

I got this issue and is now fixed by your solution: Installation Number is incorrect in SMSY.

Thanks,
