does the same material no. can be used by different person at the same time

there is a problem:when a person created a sales order of one material no, another person can not use the same material no to create outbound delivery at the same time?

does sap offer a solution to this problem?

Hi,

That is a std behaviour of the system. If we look closely it actually makes sense becaause when delivery and goods issue happen a lot of other operations happen like stock valuations change, qty is updated, in case of excise registers are updated, availability check needs to incorporate the same etc. It should be a problem if two people are onyl creating sales orders and then the lock happens.
