XI + CMS

We have a sperate JDI server and an XI environment with dev, qas and prod. We need to use CMS. From the guide at help.sap.com I see that certain parameters should be set, like these:

com.sap.aii.directory.serviceuser.pwd.cms

com.sap.aii.ibrep.core.cms.enableClTransport=true

There are several others. Where are these settings done? In the exchangeProfile? There are no such settings there!

The help guide also states that " JDI ONLINE 6.40 (in folder JDI 6.40)

· JDI OFFLINE 6.40

You can deploy these SDAs together in one step."

1. Should we deploy these even if we are runnin a seperate JDI server.

2. There are no such SDA files on service.sap.com. When I download like described I get two .zip files.

These parameters,

com.sap.aii.directory.serviceuser.pwd.cms

com.sap.aii.ibrep.core.cms.enableClTransport=true

should be created in exchange profile and the specified value has to be set.

The files are available for downloading in the following path.

Support Packages and Patches - SAP NetWeaver - SAP NETWEAVER - SAP NETWEAVER 04 - Entry by Component - Development Infrastructure

Thanks for you answer.

Do I need to deploy the SDAs on the XI server when using a seperate JDI server?

I installed CMS in the XI j2ee instance itself.

But the SDA files are to be installed in the CMS server, not XI server, that's what I think.

btw, did you manage to get the files?

kk
