Installation problem

Hi SDNers

I need to install MDM5.5 SP05 on my system. I am facing some problems. Please help me out

Dilmit,

please specify what problem you are facing.

Go to service market place and download all installable guides for SP05.

Hi

1.First we have to maintain Database server.

2. we have to install Mdm Server.

3. After that install GUI clients .

3.1. Console

3.2.Importmanager

3.3.Datamanger

3.4.Syndicator

4. Importmanager Batch server, Syndication Batch server.

5. Next coming to repositories go to Business content folder And select repositories .

6.Program files --> sap MDM 5.5 --> Server > Archives> Put the repositories.

7. In Console Mount the MDM server.

8. Unarchive the repositories based upon Reqiurement

I think it may help U.

Regarding this Any issues please let me know.I will clarify ur doubts.

hi,

for MDM 5.5 installation, requirements are:

MDM 5.5 Server:

--> microsoft windows 2000/ 2003/xp

--> linux -- kernal version 2.4 or higher with the following

- libstdc ++.so.5 or higher

- glibc 2.2 or higher

--> sunsolaris - 8 - sunos 5.8 rev .02/02 or later

DBMS:

--> Microsoft SQL server 2000 ( version 8.0 sp3)

--> Oracle 9.2

--> IBM DB2 8.1 version

MDM 5.5 console/clients:

--> Windows Xp, 2000, 2003 all versions

MDM 5.5 API's:

--> COM

--> JAVA

Destop Publishing:

--> QuarkExpress (windows and Macintosh)

--> Adobe InDesign (windows and Macintosh)

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have downloaded a zip file from service market place. But I need to first install the server component. I didnt get that with the zip file. I got some MDMServersAndClients_Ver5.5.42.48.rpr.

Please help as what should I do in this case.

Please go to market place and click download --> search for software --> search term = mdm 5.5.42.98, this is latest build for mdm sp05 without any bug.

You will get all installables along with all servers.
