There is a formula for calculating SAPGUI network load. But is there an equivalent formula for calculating SAP web-based (i.e. Portal, Webdynpro) traffic load? Thanks.
Great paper on bandwidth requirements = "Sizing guide - Front-end Network Requirements for mySAP Business Solutions" - available of Customers and Partners.

Hi,
I don't know of a specific formula - I expect that every application has specific network load requirements which is usually included in the sizing effort. I have used various monitoring tools for monitoring web response time and html payload/caching analysis (for web dispatcher and BI/Portal applications). The one that was pretty useful was httpwatch by simtec. If you search SAP notes for httpwatch you can see some examples on how it can be used with webdynpro.
I hope this helps,
Mike.
