Hi,
For every WebDynPro application developed in Developer Studio, the developer has to know the password of the "Administrator" to use SDM to deploy it. Developer Studio never prompts for Username, instead it always uses "Administrator" for SDM deployment. Can this be changed? Because I don't want all of my developers to know Administrator's password.
How are these roles (Developer/Admin) managed?
Thanks,
Sean
Hi Sean,
You can change password for SDM from Remotegui.bat.
Run remotegui.bat located at usr/sap/<system ID>/jc00/sdm/program/remotegui.bat
Here, you will get link to change SDM password. Then use this password to deploy your applications from NWDS.
Now, onwards no need to use Administrator password. And no need to change username to deploy any applications.

For the application to be deployed only the SDM pasword is required. Please do not use the same password for the SDM and the administrator. For the default installation the SDM password is SDM itself. While you carry out the custom installtion pls make sure that you have given a different password for the SDM.
