HI all,
Is there any way that I can delete or cancel a job which has a status "Ready"?
Thanx in advance.
Rgds

Dear Rana
It's possible that the button "check job status" in SM37 does not change the job status at all.
There are several notes existing on this topic, for example:
Note 544818 - Problems with the job status check
Kind regards

Dear Rana
If you want to permanently delete the job follow below steps:
Go to SM37
Enter the Job Name and User or you can put *
Select the status: Sched. Release Ready
Job Start Condition:- From: <today's date> To:- 09.09.9999
Execute
Select the Job you want to delete
In the menu options goto Job --> Delete (or) click on the BIN Ikon on the top to delete.
In a new dailog box- System will prompt you to delete selected Job --> Click on Yes

you should never (or almost never) see that state for a job.
select that job
press:
Ctrl-Shift-F12
this should correct its status to a valid one. then, you will be able to delete it if you want.
