Hi,
We are looking at restricting access to transports by using IMG projects. How can we achieve this?
For example we want to restrict access to security tranports by assigning to a project.
Thanks for your responses
Vijaya
Alternatively the security of transports can be done using QA approval procedure in the quality system . only those reqeusts which are approved by the owner of SA would flow through to production . this is an SAP standard method .

Hello,
1.The same can be controlled using solution manager in your landscape. You need to define the
IMG project assign it to the logical component and then define the landscape in the logical component .
(mention your DEV, QA systems along with client) to which the request would flow. Create maintanance cycle and then Shedule the transports This way all projects
assigned to a project could be in controlled release manner from solution manager. /TMSFLOW/PROJ Tcode in Solution manager would help give you the list of trnasports - IMG project wise . This could be released to the QA .

We have quite a few security transports which are approved by security admins. By "restricting transports" I mean that the security admins should be able to view only the security transports in STMS_QA (to prevent approval of incorrect transports erroneously). What is the best way to achieve this?
