Cannot install ESR documentation plugin.

Dir Sirs,

I tried to install ESR Documentation Plugin according to ESR Master Guide chapter 4, but I couldn't.

NWDS said "Selected location does not contain an update. Please select another location".

What I did is,,,

1) DL zip file from SDN

2) Unzip it and get com.sap.netweaver.developerstudio.xpi.ecf

3) Create temporarily directory (C:\esr)

4) Copy the ecf file to C:\ear

5) NWDS > Help > Software Updates > Find and Install

6) Select "Search for new features to install"

7) Add "New Local Site" with "C:\esr"

I think ESR Master Guide description is wrong or insufficient.

What should I do to install ESR document?

Hello

We performed the ESR Documentation plugin in my local system successfully.

The developer encountered the customer error message and the reason being, com.sap.netweaver.developerstudio.xpi.ecf needs to be extracted again, which is stated in the Esr installation guide.

The procedure the customer needs to follow is :

1) DL zip file from SDN

2) Unzip it and get com.sap.netweaver.developerstudio.xpi.ecf

3) Unzip the com.sap.netweaver.developerstudio.xpi.ecf to a local directory c:\esr

5) NWDS > Help > Software Updates > Find and Install

6) Select "Search for new features to install"

7) Add "New Local Site" with "C:\esr"

The procedure in the ESR Intsallation guide is right.

A) Please Note:

To extract com.sap.netweaver.developerstudio.xpi.ecf:

1) right click on the file , open it with winzip

2) click on "Extract To" to extract in a local directory.
