Where to download MDM 5.5 new Patches Release?

I have two questions need your help:

(1) I tried to make the download for new patches release for MDM 5.5 SP05 Patches Release. I followed SAP Notes instruction and visit:

> Download

> Support Packages and Patches

> Entry by Application Group

> SAP NetWeaver

> SAP MDM

> SAP MDM 5.5

Then I can find nothing about the patches for MDM 5.5 over there. Can you help me to find out the correct path to make the download?

(2) Currently I have MDM 5.5 SP05 installed on my server without loading any patches and hotfix. Should I load all SP05 patches and the hotfixes before install SP06?

Hi Mike,

On Service Market Place link --> https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/swdc.

1. Click on Search for SAP Software and put MDM 5.5.42.98, this is the latest build for MDM (Hotfix 14). you will find all patches.

2. Should I load all SP05 patches and the hotfixes before install SP06?

Ans: if you want to go for SP06 then download all patches for it and use SP06 MDM server not SP05.

Just upgrade your server and then install SP06 components.

Hi Mike,

Downloading of Softwares new release and packages, SAP has changed the policy.

I think it depends on the contract with SAP.All downloadables will be download via Solution Manager.

Ask you Basis guys who is having the proper authorization to download anything from service market place.

I got the message:

"All corrective software packages, for SAP NetWeaver 2004s

and SAP Business Suite 2005 and beyond that are delivered after April 2nd,

2007 will ONLY be available via SAP Solution Manager's Maintenance Optimizer.

Find more details HERE. "

Then I click that link, it showed that I should use the software called "Maintenance Optimizer".

This software requires install "Solution Manager" first.

I do not have "Solution Manager". Is it possible for free download?

I dont think, You dont need any solution manager to download and install all MDM patches.

In the link https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/swdc when you will click "Search for software" and put Search term = MDM 5.5.42.98. You will find

1. MDMGC55005P2HF_14-10003297.ZIP MDM 5.5 SP05 GUI Clients

2. MDMIMS55005P2HF_14-10003641.ZI MDM 5.5 SP05 Import Server Patch2 Hotfix14 (Build 5.5.42.98)

also others MDM server and so on. Click on them and download.

In similar way you can get Solution Manager patch and can download, but you dont require that.

put search term= Solution Manager. you will get it and can download.
