iDOC Acknowledgement

Is there a way to acknowledge the reciept of an iDOC back to SAP. Maybe the use of a SysST iDOC back to R3?

i dont have any idea whether it's provided by defaut from xmii

but i think u can handle it using BLS.

On receipt of IDoc using IDoc Listener, u can check for the success tag for the same and if success, u can use an RFC function module to post a message to SAP R/3 using Java Connectors. You can have custom message for the same.

Try this ... I think it helps.

The iDoc listener automatically updates the status of the IDoc in ERP/ECC when it is successfully received. If the transaction fails to process the iDoc you can always use the XMLSaver action to store the iDoc temporarily to process later.
