Hi forum,

I try my first nw04s system copy based on Oracle Backup/Restore. It's a dev CRM 5.0 system to migrade from old HW to new HW.

During installation SAPinst ask me a "Migration Export" Package with label "SAP:JMIG:700:::*" ... where can I find it ?

Regards.

Ganimede Dignan.

Hello Ganimede,

Presumably this is a Dual Stack system? Sapinst is looking for a Java Export which you should have taken on your source system.

I see you have said you are using a Backup and Restore Method. This is fine for the database, however a lot of your Java Stack exists on the filesystem and must be exported seperately by sapinst. This is documented in the Homogeneous System Copy Guide.

Start sapinst on the source system,

- Start system copy installation service for ABAP + Java System

- Go through the dialogs

- Make sure you select the option to use DB tools / Backup Restore method. This tells sapisnt to ignore the database and export the fileesystem only.

- This will create a dump with the required label.

David

Had a similar issue on iSeries (AS400)

I had to do a Database and Central Instance Export

SAP Netweaver 7.0 Support Release 3 / Software Life-Cycle Options /

System Copy / IBM DB2 UDB for i5/OS / Source System Export / Central

System / Based on AS ABAP and AS Java, Database and Central Instance

Export

Export Location = Z:\usr\sap\export\<sid>
