How To Utilize SDM.......

PLS LET ME KNOW HOW TO USE THE SDM INTO THE LOCAL MACHINE . I HAVE THAT SDM IN MY SAP SERVER .I CREATED ONE WEBDYN EXMPL APPLICATION IT SHOWS SOME ERROR LIKE THIS....

An exception occured while deploying: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

Make sure that the J2EE and SDM server settings are correct and both servers have been started.

....

HELP FOR THIS ......

HI,

Have you checked whether your Server is up and running.

Also check server status in J2ee Admin tab. All three processes should be in green there.

Better to provide whole error you got in deployment.

In My local System J2ee engine shows error.

How to show in j2eeserver in sap server.

In my server only msgserver displaying green or j2ee shows seperatly.

Hi BHI,

Open SAP menagement console on server. There how many node you are getting below your server node?

There should be three nodes one for database, one for dispacher (name_1), last one is for server(name_0).

Last two nodes should be green.

SDM is not to start

Hi BHI,

I guess your SDM is in standalone mode right now.

Do one thing.

Open command prompt, and goto usr/sap/<system id>/jc<instance number>/SDM/program

And type following command:

sdm jstartup "mode=integrated"

Check whether it gts success or not. After doing this, goto SAP MMC and there trying to restart that perticular node.

It says it was already started.

I think that was not a problem for this.

Pls check another way and Let me know whether it works for both means integratd and standalone....

Hi Gopi/BHI,

Where you got red for SDM status? If in NWDS, then right click on the SDM instance there and choose Enable service or restart service.

WE tried like that also.........

means every user has to maintain all these three nodes into local system......

we try for that ......start to sdm....
