What are the file formats are processed with adapters present in Xi

Hi all,

could u please let me know that What are the file formats XI can recongnise and process with available adapters in PI 7.0 ? for ex text ,CSV,xml file it recognises.so please provide me the details of all the file format xi can recognises with the help of its default adapter

HI,

THE FOLLOWING FORMATS ARE RECOGNISED BY THE ADAPTERS

1).FLAT FILE BUT U NEED TO USE FILE CONTENT CONVERSION

2)CSV,TAB SEPERATED AGAIN USE FILE CONTENT CONVERSION

3)ALSO PDF AND EXCEL FILE BUT FOR THIS U NEED TO WRITE MODULE IN THE ADAPTER SO THE PDF FILE CAN BE CONVERTED INTO XML

Hi,

You can test the file with different formats like text, xml, csv, pdf, and also you can use file content converison format of file where you can specify the files seperated by different delimiters like fixed length or any other delimiter like Comma, Tab, newline etc.

Hi Neha,

File format supported are:

1) XML file

2) CSV file can be separated with , # or any separator but u need to do the File content conversion in file adapter.

3) Fixed length file again FCC is required

4) Tab separated file again FCC is required.

5) PDF and Excel file but u need to write module in java for converting the file to XML.
