Hello,

After the phase or in the phase DBCHK the upgrade process stalled.

Hi Tommaso,

Please check and set the environment varibale of the following paramenters

DIR_LIBRARY (eg. C:\sapdb\nsp\db\pgm)

dbms_type (eg. ora, ada)

path

Can you please send some more details.

Also, have you upgrade the kernel version becuase in your DBINFO.LOG file it is still showing 6.20.

Thank you for your reply.

I start PREPARE (all modules have been selected) and after I input all the requested parameters and the phase INITPUT_PRE is successfully terminated, the Upgrade Assistant run 3 times tp.exe:

E:\usr\sap\AXA\SYS\exe\run\tp.exe pf=E:\usr\sap\put\bin\DEFAULT.TPP getdbinfo AXA

Then I get the message: Connection to Upgrade was closed and nothing more go on.

R3up is running, bat it does nothing (I think).

My SAP kernel is 6.40 patch 58 (October 2005).

The whole system should be completly updated (maximum of 6.20).

If you need some more information I will gladly provide it.

Try it install the latest TP,R3TRANS,R3UP versions,then continue the prepare phase.

all possible update are done. Also in the put directory.

The Upgrade Monitor says:

I can not start Prepare, I can not do anything.

You are right! 7.6 is not supported.

Hi,

the question is: where did you get the 7.6 MaxDB version? This version is not supported and not released for use with either 6.20 or 6.40.

You'll probably need to go back to the MaxDB 7.5 version.

The versions of the tools tp, R3trans (and DBSL) should be checked not from the CD/DVD, but from the upgrade directory (/usr/sap/put/bin (Unix) or /usr/sap/put/exe (Windows)) to check for a mismatch.
