SP vs Enhancment package

Hi

Could someone please explain the difference (if any) between support packs and enhancement packages in ECC6?

I understand that there are equivalencies but at what point do I use enhancement packages ans why?

Hello,

SAP delivers new functionality through enhancement packages that customers can optionally implement thereby avoiding a complete upgrade.

Support packages on other hand not only include quality improvements rather are a collection of all corrections required which either are available as single individual packages or colleactions known as stacks.
