File adapter - default timeout settings

Hi,

I have a file to file scenario. I have specified only poll interval. I have not specified any timeout settings. I am sending a file from sap to ftp server. If our ftp server is down, then the file gets into error status. Is there any default settings that XI will try to process the error file only for this many times/period and will stop after that?

Thanks,

Jassi

Hi Jassi,

I think you can set this in RWB in comm channel monitoring.

In Comm channel monitoring, Select comm channel and then select Setting tab.

Over here you can maintain Maximum retry and Retry interval.

Hi,

In the FILE Adapter under Processing tab u ll find Retry Interval (secs)

Here Specify the number of seconds that the adapter is to wait before a file processed with errors is processed again.

If the value is set to null, then the adapter is canceled if an error occurs, even if a value greater than null is specified for Poll Interval (secs).

If you do not enter a value, the value from Poll Interval (secs) is used.

THIS WILL DO

Hi

Is there any default settings that XI will try to process the error file ....?

Did u tried with the option Retry intervals(sec's)...ie (in processing parameter tab page)

.This is used to Specify the number of seconds that the adapter is to wait before a file processed with errors is processed again .

Just try this and let me know if it works ...
