How to reset SLD data supplier user on Visual Admin?

Former Member

When I access SLD data supplier at Visual Admin, I get error:

"error while loading service SLD data supplier"

I guess I have to reset the user for the SLD data supplier on Visual Admin.

But because of above error, I cannot access the screen to enter the user name.

Please inform us the way to do it. Thanks!!

Hello,

What exception is printed if you double click on the 'i' icon in the visual admin ? Could you paste it here ? The error message you sent is a generic one and could occur due to many reasons.

Could you also check defaultrace under server\log and visual admin traces to see if you could find anymore info about this error ? There should be an exception detailing what is the cause.

Thanks & Regards,

Snehal

copy sldserv.jar file from /usr/sap/<SID>/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/bin/services/sld to /usr/sap/<SID>/JC00/j2ee/admin/lib/ and then restart you Visual Admin session.

See SAP Note 1127500 SLD Data Supplier Service does not start up

Hi,

I think you are getting the error when performing the cim cleint test in the sld data supplier.

If so just reset the password for the slddsuer using visual admin

and then test the connection test it should now be successfull.

I had the same problem but fixed it by appling note 1127500.

I didn't think it worked at first as I kept getting the same error. It wasn't until I came fully out of Visual Admin and back in again that it took effect.

Cheers

Have you checked the entry on SLDAPICUST for the SLD user.

Are you sure that SLDAPICUST is for SLD user?

PS: I will collect all traces and post here.

Please reply. Thanks!

Is "SLD Data Supplier" service running?

Take a look at the std trace file for any error.
