User-Context used by XI for access to the SAP-backend

Hi,

if the XI is calling a backend service (e.g. ABAP-Proxy or BAPI) for posting and writing data, normally a destination with a Service-User and its related authority is used for executing this step. Therefore everytime you only can see the Service-User within the change documents of the master data.

Are there any ideas or conecpts to solve that problem ?

For example you have an non-SAP-Web-Application which is calling a WebService of the XI ... mapping to an ABAP-Proxy (e.g. Business Partner) for posting the data in the SAP-Backend ... how is it possible to trace / view in any form the "original" User within the session or change documents of the master data in the backend ? Instead of anynomous sessions / change documents with the XI-Service-User ?

With regards

Michael

Hi Michael,

you can solve that task with [Principal Propagation|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/5579] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];

Look as well to the [SAP Library: Configuration of Principal Propagation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/de/45/0f16bef65c7249e10000000a155369/content.htm]

Sender should be SOAP (i dont think HTTP is possible), but as i assume, the sender sends that format anyway. So, to use the SOAP adapter would be standard.
