Hi,
We have ECC 6 running on IBM AIX(64 bit Cluster) system.
We recently gone live and now the system load is too high(the end users usage+Consultant usage of LSMW) .
We observed that our page file(PAGFIL00) is growing in size and when it reaches 200MB,application throws dump
MEMORY_NO_MORE_PAGING(for lsmw,me21..etc)
We deleted the file and restarted the system. This created
a new PAGFIL00 with size 0.This solved the problem temporarly, but still the file size kept on growing and the same dump happened.Hence we decided to increase the maximum
limit of pagefile to 2GB by increasing the value of
rdisp/PG_MAXFS(present value 32768).But still we doubt
wheather pagefile would keep on growing crossing 2GB
limit also and eventually create the same dump again.
Please provide your valuble inputs on how to solve the problem.
We compared another production system on unix platform and found that PAGFIL size is 0 there!!does it mean that our system has got some problem. However there is no LSMW happening on the other production system.
The notes we reviewed were 133909 and
16513 .
Please provide your valuble inputs on how to solve the problem.
Thanks and Regards

Hello Syamkrishnan,
There is no point in increasing the paging Max filesize beyond 256MB.Application has to be checked for anything beyond this limit . However you need to look into other memory parameters for R3 using SAP note 103747.

Kumar
