Hi,

We are facing an error"User Authentication failed" in SAP Web AS Java(Stand-alone).

No user is able to login through User Management Engine but we were able to login as administrator into Visual admin.Tried SAP* (Emergency User Activation in config tool) also.SAP* is also able to login to Visual Admin But not into UME.Login in Visual Admin was successful when we tried with SAP* or administrator.

Feels like some UME configuration might have changed. Can anyone help me in this.

Thank You.

Regards,

Sudheer.

Hi,

Make sure license is not expired. Also using configtool, check the ume whether it is pointing right xml file.

You will get some info regarding the issue if you look into defaultrace.trc file

Thanks!

Hi,

If you can login into Visual Admin you can also check that your users are not locked. You can also try to create new users with UME privileges...

In Visual Admin, go to service "Security Provider" and select the tab "User Management" under "Runtime" tab.

Hope this help,

Hi,

If emergeny user SAP* is activated on J2EE engine, you are only able to login to VA. After you corrected your problems in VA deactivate SAP* user, restart J2EE engine, and you could work with the "normal" J2EE users (refer to sap documentation for what to work with user SAP* or what it called in J2EE superadmin).

Daniel
