Enable Passwords for a sandbox system

I created a sandbox system using a database copy from a development system. In SU01, the passwords are deactivated. How can I enable the password option? Thanks.

Hello Mary,

If the passwords are deactivated, then it would indicate that there is some other authentication mechanism for DEV. Why not leave the passwords deactivated and use that same mechanism for your Sandbox?

Manually, you can reactivate and then reset a new password in transaction SU01.

I cannot activate passwords in SU01, that is the problem.

Has your development system (= copy source) been configured to be part of a CUA landscape?

Yes it was. I was thinking that I should go to SCUA and break the child link.
