What should I check to solve this problem?

Hi,
Follow some best practices before you play with kernel enxt time. Always take backup of kernel before you update.
To troubleshoot the issue, go to /usr/sap/SID/DV*/work and check the log files.
This will give an idea why you kernel is not starting.
Thanks!

Hi,
First, Where are you restoring the Kernel, please provide OS you are using.
Second, Did you change profile before updating Kernel??
Third, Did you downloaded the full Kernel by means DB dependant and not DB dependant files??
Have you read w0_dev.log file?? What did it said?
Have you tried R3trans -x to be sure SAP wp can connect to it??

Had same error, created new min profileand it resolved. Here's profile for others. Theory is profile file was corrupted as I had a database crash.
