SMD Diagnostics setup - Setup wizard - monitored systems - instance number

I am working with Solman at stack 13. My problem is in the SMD URL Diagnostics setup section when I am running the Setup wizard for the managed system. Everything works well and I am able to see the solution,the system that I want to monitor, the remote agent. The issue is that the instance number has been set to the remote agent and not to the abap systems message server. I am unable to change this at all.

My question is how do I change the instance number in the diagnostic setup managed systems setup wizard?

Hi, anybody have any thoughts on this? I know that this is a newer stack but somebody should have already gone through this process and be willing to give me 5 min of their time.

I was wondering if you magaed to get a resolution to this.

I have exactly the same issue.

There are three fields where you enter the instance number;

AGENT

INSTALLATION PATH

INSTANCE NUMBER

This to me suggests that the instance number is the one relating to the SMD, but the error logs I see tells me that it is using the instance number entered here to connect to the monitored instance (in this case DBW) and not the SMD instance.

Thanks for the response. This is what is on the system:

Looks like patch 3 is on for the LM-SERVICE

Any other thoughts?

Maybe this is because you posted on Saturday.....

I know there was an issue with LMService SP13 patch 0, that new values in the setup were not changed or saved.

Do you have already patch 3?
