Does anyone know if there are any Rich Text Editing controls available for use within the PDK environment. I want the users to be able to format their content in a textedit control.
There is no rich text edit control dedicated for using with PDK for .NET. But any control ( even third party ) that can be used in a regular ASP .NET application, can be used as well in PDK for .NET application. You can customize any control using Portal Style Designer PDK for .NET tool in order to achieve Portal look and feel.
I tried adding this control (http://freetextbox.com/) to my portal component and it doesn't work. I created it in a std .Net page not using portal and it works fine. Just add the supplied .dll file to the bin folder and place the control on the page. When I add it to the portal component and display it in the portal it can't seem to find the information in the .dll file which I have located in the bin directory.
