Dear All,
I HAVE CREATED A REQUEST IN NEW DEVELOPMENT CLIENT
I AM NOT ABLE TO RELEASE IT. I AM GETTING MESSAGE could not start transport control program tp in SE01
Thanks & Regards
krupal
Hi,
Please check from command prompt at OS level of your server, using tp command for TMS configuration. Also, try to release this request there itself. See if that works.
Award points if found usefull.

Hi,
The SAPEVTPATH parameter must point directly to the sapevt executable file. Add the following line:
<SID>/sapevtpath = /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/sapevt
to the file /usr/sap/trans/bin/TPPARAM after making a backup copy of file. restart the system. After this use complete command as below to check tp:
tp pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL connect <SID>
Please adapt the paths and SID accordingly.

Hi,
Please do the following:
The profile is in the transport directory bin.
The profile name corresponds to the convention TP_<domain>.PFL, where <domain> is the name of the transport domain configured in TMS. (You can find the domain in the initial screen of transaction STMS.)
Add the following new entries to the tp parameter file for each system:
under UNIX:
< SID>/impdp_by_event = yes
< SID>/sapevtpath = /usr/sap/$(system)/SYS/exe/run/sapevt
under Windows NT:
< SID>/impdp_by_event = yes
< SID>/sapevtpath =
<SAPGLOBALHOST>\sapmnt\$(system)\SYS\exe\run\sapevt.exe
< SID>/system_pf =
<SAPGLOBALHOST>\sapmnt\$(system)\SYS\profile\DEFAULT.PFL
(each statement has to be one line)
<SID> stands for the respective system name (Release must be at least 2.1G!).
Replace <SAPGLOBALHOST> with the host name of the computer that contains the executables of the main instance of the corresponding system.
Please check again the output of command:
tp pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL connect <SID>

Hello,
I have the same problem with the level of kernel 133 and 146, release 700.
In the STMS, appears the following error:
Could not start transport control program tp
RFC error: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL:
'ThSAPCMRCV'
When I run RFC "CALLTP_WindowsNT", not connected with TP.
If I run the command:
tp connect DEV
This is tp version 370.00.01 (release 700, unicode enabled)
E-TPSETTINGS could not be opened.
EXIT
ERROR: System : Parameter SAPEVTPATH not set. Batch jobs cannot be
started.
Error in TPSETTINGS: transdir not set.
tp returncode summary:
TOOLS: Highest return code of single steps was: 0
ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0208
tp finished with return code: 208
Meaning:
error in transportprofil (param missing, unknown,...)
Now we have the kernel 111, to operate the tp.
But I need to load the latest patch level, and we need the kernel 133.
you can help me?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Carolina.
