Hi experts,
Can anyone tell me what is the difference between a Dialog user and a Service user.?
basing on which ratioanlity we will create some as service users and some as dialog users.
What are the Pros and cons if I change a Service user to a Dialog user and vice versa.
I would appreciate if some one could explain me clearly on this.
Best Regards,
Sairam.
dialog user will be able to debug and service user will not be able to debug.
this is the simplest of the difference

Hi,
With dialog user,it is possible to debug the RFC calls between the systems.
Also for the search help functionality in SRM,you need to use dialog users.
See these notes:

Hi,
a dialog user can be used by a single person for all types of logon; the multiple logon are checked and eventually registered.
A service user is like a dialog user for wich is possible an anonimus multiple logon via ITS service or a WEB browser. Therefore it is advisable to give it a limited authorization. For example it can be used for accessing the system from a web browser even at people that doesn't have a personal user for logon the system.
Hope this helpful.
