Heii All,

Please explain me what are standared web services which

are being provided by MDM.

Hi Karan ,

As per the Web services in MDM are concerned those can only be done through ABAP API’s and Java API’s to expose the functionality of MDM .

But for both these cases packages and tools have to be installed separately .

It can also b integrated with the netweaver tools like EP(Enterprise Portal) and the functionalities of MDM can be explored directly to end users.

Its quite simple.

1- deploy the web service .sca

2- configure the application properties

2.1 - login to visual admin

2.2 - navigate to services/configuration adapter

2.3 - on the right hand pane configuration/apps/sap.com/tc~facade/appcfg/Propertysheet...

2.3 - switch to edit mode and edit there username an password for the MDM-Web services you want to use

Each web service uses the same user and password, which means each repository you want to connect later with one of the services, should be configured for this user.

3- load the repository you want to test

4- navigate to your Web AS http://yourserver:yourport/wsnavigator

5- there you can test all MDM-Web services e.g. MDMSearch
